Frustrated..............

This has been an on going problem for me. My photos of my work are amateurish and poor. I have been trying to learn little tricks to take better photos and it just is not working. My biggest problem seems to be with the flash. Everything seems to get washed out and the details lost in the photo. Anything white or light in colors just glows because the flash is so bright. I try and turn the flash off and then the items are to dark. Well I'll try again tomorrow in daylight and take the fairies I'm working on outside where they will be happier anyways.
